I entered a contest yesterday, which was the deadline so I cut it close. I realized that I do like painting, but at the same time I hate starting to paint. Getting everything ready mixing the colors and trying to find someplace light enough to work. But at the same time i don't have to be in one spaot to work like on the computer. I don't have a labtop, so if I ever want to work on something I have to sit in my sister's room and work at the computer in a very uncomfortable chair...or at school. -_-.
Anyways, enough of my complaints. This is a painting I did for a character contest. I named it "The Huntress.". I painted "Chance" one of another artist's characters who is a vampire hunter that loves bright, girly colors and kicks butt, so on and so on. The prize is a hundred bucks, but I'm pretty sure I won't win it after looking at the recent competing entries. *shrugs* I tried at least.
This is the first time I've ever messed with the perspective. I saw an example of this fisheye pespective in a fantasy art book and I really wanted to mimic it. I't didn't turn out as nice as the drawing, but I still think it gives you that feeling of being drawn into the picture. Well that's my thing for today. I have a strong urge to sleep in a warm room now and wake up three or so hours latter.
